Biography

AbdElMoniem Bayoumi received his Ph.D. from the University of Bonn, Germany, in 2018. He is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Engineering at Cairo University. Additionally, he serves as the Head of the IoT and Robotics Track at Digital Egypt Builders Initiative (DEBI) in cooperation with the University of Ottawa, Canada, and the Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. Previously, he worked at the Humanoid Robots Laboratory at the University of Bonn. He published several papers in top robotics and artificial intelligence conferences and journals. His research interests include autonomous systems and cognitive robotics focusing on navigation problems and related deep-learning applications.
