Biography
Rodrigo Narciso has a Bachelor's and a Master's degrees (2020) in Cellular and Molecular Biology (2022), from NOVA School of Science and Technology and Faculty of Sciences of Unviersity of Porto, respectively. He has been a research intern in CEDOC, iMM, IGC and FCUP-LAQV/REQUIMTE. His research interests currently focus on the molecular biology of host-microbe/foodborne pathogen interactions in insects and plants and microbiome analysis. He is the first author of 1 published international research article (Q1 Journal) and the second author of another submitted international research article (Q1 Journal). Has been awarded with 2 research fellowships (2021/2022; 2023), integrating 1 national project (DrosuGreen) - explored microbiomes as novel pest biocontrol tools and host response to bacteria exposure- and 1 co-promotion national project (STOP.SUZUKII) - fruit microbiome analysis upon different storage conditions to prolong shelf-life. He is currently a research volunteer in a foodborne diseases project. He has participated in 1 national congress as speaker and has organized >4 scientific events/seminars.
