(i) Understanding how cellular elements and acellular factors located in the niche microenvironment affect satellite cell behavior and function.
(ii) Dissecting intrinsic and extrinsic signaling passways responsible for satellite cell activity during skeletal muscle development.
(iii) Development of novel therapeutic approaches for neuromuscular diseases that are based on the endogenous stimulation of satellite cells.
