Biography
Ngai‐Ching WONG (黃毅青) received his B.S. and M.Phil. degrees in mathematics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1985 and 1987, and his PhD degree in mathematics from Purdue University in 1991. He joined the Department of Applied Mathematics, National Sun Yat‐sen University (NSYSU), Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in 1991, and became a Full Professor in 1997. He was the Chairman of the Department of Applied Mathematics (2003-2006, 2010), and the Director of the Research Center (Group) for Nonlinear Analysis and Optimization (2007-2013) of NSYSU.
Wong is interested in functional analysis, operator algebras/ideals/theory, linear preserver problems, fixed point theory, and quantum information theory. He has joined the Editorial Boards of several journals, including Operators and Matrices, Asian‐European Journal of Mathematics, Linear and Multilinear Algebra, Banach Journal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, Pure and Applied Functional Analysis, and Journal of Mathematics, He was also an editorial borad member of Taiwanese Journal of Mathematics, and Abstract and Applied Analysis.
