Biography
Paul Fuentes is a teacher and Agricultural Engineer from the Universidad de Talca, with a Master's degree in Natural Resources Economics from the University of Connecticut (Storrs), USA.
He has been Director of teaching-support units in Higher Education institutions and has a special interest in the training itineraries of Technical Education. He participated as Director of the Teaching Qualification Diploma at the University of Talca, served as Director of the Education Node of the New Engineering 2030 Project funded by CORFO-CHILE, a project that modified the curriculum to strengthen the competencies of "Engineers for the 21st Century" at the universities of Talca, Bío-Bío and La Frontera. He collaborated in the installation of the "International Center of Engineering Education" at the University of Talca (CIEI) with support from the University of Dresden, Germany. He supported the Student Life Cycle Unit (CIVE) in the Vice-Rectory of Undergraduate, University of Talca-Chile where he was responsible for articulating the demand of the educational communities in agreement to update and strengthen the formative work. Currently works as a methodological consultant for virtual programs in a digital transformation project at the Innovation Office at the University of Talca. Regularly, he is a consultant in science outreach projects in STEAM environments.
