Biography

Daniel Stoeffler is a researcher at CNRS – University of Strasbourg at the Institut de physique et de chimie des Matériaux de Strasbourg (UMR 7504) since 1993. The PhD period (1989-1992) on calculation of "electronic structure of magnetic layers and multilayers" has been followed by one year teaching at the University of Strasbourg.
After being hired by the CNRS, he performed Density Functional Theory calculations in order to investigate the properties of metallic magnetic multilayers, thin films, metal/oxide multilayers and bulk oxide systems. More recently, he works on guided Spin Wave using a mivromagnetic approach.
