Ina Vandebroek



Ina Vandebroek is an ethnobotanist at The New York Botanical Garden who studies people’s knowledge and use of plants for healthcare and subsistence by farmers and indigenous communities in Bolivia and the Caribbean (Dominican Republic and Jamaica), as well as by Latino/Caribbean immigrants in New York City. She also directs a training program for physicians and medical students in New York City aimed at improving culturally sensitive healthcare for these communities.
