Biography

Dr. Sweya is a PhD holder in Civil Engineering, and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He developed a resilience measurement tool for Tanzania water supply systems during his PhD studies. He specializes in disaster resilience, disasters management, water and waterwater management, and sanitation. He has published several journal articles in highly ranked, (Q1) and (Q2), journals; and worked as a reviewer in Q1 and Q2 journals. Dr. Sweya has attended international academic conferences and contributed in the UNDRR global assessment report for disasters risk reduction. Dr. Sweya teaches Building Services Engineering, and water supply and wastewater management related courses.
