Biography

I am Dr. Biswajeet Acharya, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Centurion University of Technology and Management, Balangir. My expertise lies in ethnopharmacology, toxicology, and bamboo sciences. I completed my UG and PG at Roland Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Berhampur, where I earned a gold medal in M.Pharm. My PhD research focused on the Ethnobotanical Exploration of Teratogenic Effects of Selected Plants in Kalahandi, Western Odisha. I have a keen interest in the pharmacological properties of bamboo species, particularly Bambusa vulgaris, and their role in traditional medicine, especially in addressing gynecological health. I have authored several articles highlighting bamboo’s medicinal and nutritional benefits.
