Biography

Fernando J. T. E. Ferreira was born in Coimbra in 1975. He graduated in Electrical Engineering and owns a M.Sc. in Systems and Automation and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, from University of Coimbra. Since 1998, he has been a Researcher in the Institute of Systems and Robotics, where he has participated in several National and European projects. From 2001 to 2014, he was with the Department of Electrical Engineering of the Engineering Institute of Coimbra, where he worked as a Professor and Head of Department. Since 2014, he has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Coimbra. He is the author/coauthor of more than 150 papers published in international journals and conferences of recognized merit, with more than 3000 citations.
