Biography

Benedict is a PhD student in the Department of Engineering at Durham University. He graduated in General Engineering (specialising in electronics) with a first-class MEng honours degree from Durham University in 2019.

Benedict’s research focuses on Evolution in-Materio processors, where nanomaterial networks are exploited to perform computation. This belongs to the field of unconventional computing and overlaps with other areas including physical reservoir computing and extreme learning machines.
