Biography

Martin Gibbs is a Professor of Human-Computer Interaction in the School of Computing and Information Systems at the University of Melbourne. His research interests lie at the intersection of Science Technology Studies (STS) and Human Computer Interaction (HCI). He is an author of the recent books, Death and Digital Media (2018, Routledge) and Digital Domesticities (2020, Oxford). He is also an editor of the collections, Residues of Death (2019, Routledge) and From Social Butterfly to Engaged Citizen (2011, MIT Press). He was the Program Co-Chair for the International Digital Games Research Association Conference (DiGRA) in 2017 and 2018.
