Biography
Head of the research group Diamond Optics, and since November 2022 also the head of the Division of Applied Materials Science at Uppsala University, Sweden (use the link "Personal website" to get information on our ongoing research).
Expertise in design and micro/nanofabrication of diamond for optical applications. Long experience in design and fabrication of diamond diffractive- and subwavelength structures. Close collaboration with University of Liège (Belgium), California Institute of Technology/Jet Propulsion Lab (NASA) and ESO in diamond coronagraphs for detection of extrasolar planets.
Developing a diamond based infrared spectroscopic biosensor for sensitive analyze of biomolecules.
Teacher in the courses Micro- and Nanotechnology II (5 credits), course responsible for the courses Industrial Development Project (10 credits) and Introduction to Materials Engineering (5 credits), responsible for the Master´s Programme in Materials Engineering (120 credits).
Co-founders of the company Adamantis AB, 2003. The company develops and fabricate diamond microstructures.
Co-founders of the company Molecular Fingerprint Sweden AB, 2009. The company developed a lab-on-a-chip platform for protein analysis.
