Biography

Abdelmalik Nasser Aljalai (Member, IEEE) received a B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering and an M.Sc. degree (with distinction) in communications engineering from the University of Jordan, Jordan. He received his Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from the University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver, Canada. He received an MBA (Master of Business Administration) from the University of Ottawa, Ottawa, Canada. His research interests include 5G and 6G cellular telecommunication networks, satellite communications, RFIC and ASIC, edge caching, cloud computing, signal processing, machine learning, wireless and mobile communications, and applied electromagnetic. He received the IDB Merit and the NSERC Alexander Graham Bell Postgraduate Scholarships. He is a P.Eng. at the Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia-Canada, a PE at Nevada Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors-NV-USA, and IntPE and APEC with Engineers Canada. He was the Vice-Chair of the Information and Communications Technology High Commission Committee at the Arab Federation of Engineers, Egypt.
