Biography
I am a passionate researcher who loves to work on Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology and Molecular genetics. I have more than 10 years of experience in the field of Parasite research (Leishmania and Trypanosomes) with a total of 6 publications in peer reviewed journals. My previous work as a postdoctoral researcher focused on developing highly selective SMIs against Trypanosomes as a potential anti-parasitic therapy. This work has recently been published in Nature Communications. I am highly expertized in Biochemical assays like protein purification, EMSA, MST as well as cell-based assays, molecular cloning, cell-line generation. I have also done animal studies in leishmania infection. Currently I am working on the mechanism of antibiotic resistance and antigenic variation in Neisseria gonorrhoeae, bacteria that cause deadly gonorrhea.
