Biography

Degree and PhD in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences. Teaching and research staff at the Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) since 1999 in the Faculty of Sport (Degree) and Faculty of Education (Master's Degree). Professor in areas of Sport (Sports Training, Athletics and New technologies applied to sport) and Professor in the Master's Degree in Teacher Training in the area of educational innovation in Physical Education.

Researcher in sport technique analysis, control and sport evaluation in different sports, developing and collaborating in research projects (European, National, Regional and UCAM's own) and publications in scientific journals, books, book chapters and scientific communications in different congresses and forums. Researcher and collaborator in the UCAM ARETE research group and with other UCAM research groups.

Sports tutor and researcher of high-level and performance athletes of the UCAM also European projects associated to the Dual Career with publications in scientific journals, books and congresses.

Research collaborator in sports management and the analysis of sport from a socio-economic perspective with membership of the Board of Directors of the College of Graduates in FE of Murcia, of the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia, collaborating in various research projects, resulting in articles in scientific journals.

In the cultural field, coordinator of the International Chair of Flamencology of the UCAM with development and promotion of research and dissemination of flamenco art, collaborating in the realization of conferences, seminars, courses and publications (books).

Member of the management team of the Faculty of Sport at the Catholic University of Murcia as Deputy Director and Vice-Dean of Academic Planning, becoming in 2014 Academic Director of the UCAM Cartagena Campus with functions in academic planning and research. Director since October 2022 of the UCAM Olympic Studies Centre.

Professional experience in the area of Physical Education in secondary education and high school (1996-2000) in schools under the Ministry of Education of the Region of Murcia and in higher vocational training (2012-2015) in the Higher Institute of Vocational Training San Antonio de Murcia. Professional experience as a Senior Sports Technician in Athletics, being a core coach of the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation and coach of international athletes.
