Neogene, Quaternary, palynomorphs, palynofacies analysis
Croatia

Biography

My research is focused on the palynological study. The main research topics are palynomorphs (dinoflagellate cysts, spores, pollen) and palynofacies. Focus of my studies is lake sediments as archives of environmental change (climate and anthropogenic) during the Holocene in addition to marine and terrestrial deposits of the Neogene age.
Currently, I am working on the “Basic Geological Map of the Republic of Croatia, M 1: 50 000” (2013-2015; 2019-2023) conducted by the Croatian Geological Survey, and two projects funded by Croatian Science Foundation: “Sediments between source and sink during a Late Quaternary eustatic cycle: The Krka and the Mid Adriatic Deep System – QMAD” (IP-2019-04-8505, 2019-2023) and “Modelling Prehistoric Networks of Slavonia – MOPRENS” (IP-2019-04-5344, 2019-2023).
