Biography

Dr. Rashma R S V obtained her doctorate from National Institute of Technology  Karnataka on shear and seismic performance of pervious concrete column improved ground. She has carried out extensive research on ground improvement using pervious concrete columns in place of conventional stone columns. She has published her research findings in the form of Scopus indexed journal articles and book chapter. Also, some of her research papers are under consideration in SCI and Scopus indexed journals. She has presented her research in international conferences and participated in various seminars and conferences held worldwide. Her current research interest lies on the broad areas of structural engineering, earthquake engineering and geotechnical engineering.
Dr. Rashma has an overall eleven years of teaching and research experience in the UAE as well as in India. She is also the recipient of various awards and medals for her exceptional academic performance in the graduate and undergraduate levels such as Board Chairman 's Gold Medal, Institute Gold Medal to name a few. She is also an affiliate member of American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and life member of Indian Society of Technical Education(ISTE).
