Biography

VijayaKumar is an expert in cardiovascular, metabolic functions and cardiopulmonary bypass (51 peer-reviewed publications, an h-index of 34 and a total number of citations of 3403) and has a strong experience in investigating intercellular renin-Angiotensin pathways using both cellular and transgenic animal models of obesity and metabolic syndrome. VijayaKumar has an established expertise in visualization of renal and coronary vasculature using synchrotron microangiography. He has successfully managed competitive research grants including JSPS fellowship, KAKENHI and investigator initiated sponsored grant from Novo Nordisk Pharmaceuticals (Denmark).
