Biography

Dr Aynur Unal is currently an Associate Lecturer at Arden University, England. She holds a PhD in Political Sociology from the University of Leicester, U.K. (2019), an M.A. in International Relations (specialised in International Law and Human Rights) from Deakin University, Australia (2016) and a B.A. degree in International Community Development from Victoria University, Australia (2014). Her interdisciplinary research interests include indigeneity, discourse, indigenous rights, Kurdish political movement, indigenous peoples of Mesopotamia, internal colonisation, post-colonial nation states, self-determination movements, national identity discourse and Critical Discourse Studies (CDS).
