Biography
Cristian is a senior research data scientist in CeADAR, Ireland’s national centre for Applied AI, currently working in the European Comission project InterQ. He joined CeADAR as a Marie Curie COFUND fellow in 2017, with a project studying data-driven predictive maintenance in wind turbines. His has gained strong expertise on Time Series analysis, deep learning techniques, computer vision and Natural Language Processing.
His educational background is as a physicist, as he studied Degree in Physics, a Masters degree in Nanotechnology and a PhD in Theoretical Physics in the University of Valencia (Spain). During that time, his research left contributions in the fields of Quantum Computation realisation and Beyond
Standard Model Physics. Cristian's research path began as an undergraduate with three introductory grants given by the Spanish Research Council (CSIC) and the Spanish Ministry of Education, followed by the CERN Summer Student fellowship (2010) and the PhD fellowship from the Spanish Ministry of Education. He has conducted research at CERN (Switzerland) and Fermilab (US) and published in major particle physics journals and has participated in national and international conferences.
