Biography
Currently, Dr. Imen Ben Salem serves as an Assistant Professor in Physics at the College of Natural and Health Sciences, Zayed University, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Dr. Ben Salem is an active member of the CNHS group focusing on teaching, research, and instrument fabrication. She is also an active team member of the space research team at Hyperspectral Remote Sensing Laboratory, which supports research lines in space science, remote sensing, Mars-related manned and unmanned missions, and CO2 storage and sequestration projects. Her research interests cover a diverse variety of topics, especially focusing on aspects related to solid and fluid mechanics, multiphase flow studies, theoretical and computational fluid modeling (CFD) with the simulation of chemical kinetics, and technological development for energy applications clean and environmental protection in general, Earth science, planetary science, geophysics, light scattering behavior, etc.
