Biography
Dr. Maria Anthi Kouri is currently a clinical Medical Physicist at the General Hospital of Athens Korgialeneio - Benakeio Hellenic Red Cross. Holds a Ph.D. in Physics with an orientation in Medical Physics from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, USA. Her Ph.D. research focuses on nanoparticle applications in radiation therapy with the prospect of radiosensitivity and immunogenicity enhancement. She conducted her PhD research and has been certified for laboratory safety, animal resources facility use, animal holding, SARP (small animal radiation therapy), and ECC training at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School. She has been employed as a scientific collaborator and post-doctoral researcher at Attikon University Hospital, Medical School of Athens. She also holds a BSc in Physics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, and an MSc in Medical Physics from the University of Aberdeen, UK.
