Biography

His research interest focused on neuroprotection in the eyes. He is working on the evaluation and protection of the inner retina of patients with outer retina diseases. He started his research career on the axonal transport of retinal ganglion cells and other neurons to clarify the mechanism of neurodegenerative diseases such as glaucoma. He now uses his expertise experience in RGCs in current works. He graduated and obtained the MD from Kyoto University in 2007. He completed his Ph.D. at Kyoto University Graduate School of Medicine in 2017. He worked as a Postdoc at Stanford University, School of Medicine, Ophthalmology. Now, he is working as a Certified Ophthalmologist in Kobe, Japan.
