Biography

Dr. Miguel Angel Anton is Senior Researcher and Project Manager at TECNALIA within the Digital Construction department. PhD in Electronics and Communications by the University of Navarra (2009) and Master in Automation and Industrial Electronic Engineering (2004). More than 15 years of experience in R&D and technology transfer projects. He has participated in 6 European research projects and more than 20 research contracts with private companies. His research fields are Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) applied to the generation of cognitive systems in the built environment and the intelligent management of buildings, infrastructures and cities. More than 10 peer-reviewed scientific publications, supervisor of 3 master's theses and co-director of the doctoral thesis "Innovative Algorithms for Completion of Resource Intensive Tasks in IoT Devices and Novel Applications in the Smart City and Smart Building".
