He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the same University in 2006 and 2009, respectively. From 2009 to 2010, he joined the Centro de Capacitação e Pesquisa em Meio Ambiente at the University of São Paulo (CEPEMA-USP) as a Postdoctoral Visiting Scholar. He took an Adjunct Professor position at Federal University of Grande Dourados (MS, Brazil) in 2010 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2018. In 2022, he joined the Prof. Maurizio Benaglia's group at the University of Milan (Italy) for a 12-months postdoctoral period, working with assymmetric oxa-Michael reactions promoted by organocatalysts. His research interests are focused on the synthesis of bioactive heterocycles, ultrasound promoted reactions, design of heterocyclic ligands for coordination with transition metals, and potential of pyridoxal (vitamin B6) as starting material in organic synthesis.
