Biography

Dr. Farooqi, is currently working as Assistant Professor in Department of Environmental Engineering, International Faculty of Applied Technology, Yibin University, Sichuan, China. He earned a vast experience of research and teaching in many reputed organizations of the world. He presently engaged in the research of climate change influences on forests and biodiversity, particularly on carbon and water relationship and their diverse implications on other ecosystem services. He is mainly interested in global change ecology, biodiversity conservation, sustainable and renewable energy, hydrology as well as assess the options how to improve forest monitoring and management for better mitigation of climate change issues.
Dr. Farooqi, graduated with a (1) Master of Science in Forestry and (2) Master of Business Administration from reputed University in Pakistan in 2008 and 2011 respectively, and earned a Ph.D. in Ecology with prime focus on “Global change ecology” from Beijing Forestry University, China in 2020. He has published many research articles in international journals and presented his research work in world renowned research forums of America, UK, Australia and China. He is also serving as a reviewer for many international scientific journals like Scientific Report, Journal of Forestry Research, Australian Journal of Ecology, Forest Ecosystems and British Ecological Society reviewers college etc. He owned a title of “Certified Ecologist” from Ecological Society of America, USA.
