Biography
PhD in progress at the Graduate Program in Experimental Epidemiology Applied to Zoonoses of the School of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics of the University of São Paulo - USP. In my PhD research I have been investigating the dispersion viruses from the families Coronaviridae, Flaviridae, Paramyxoviridae and Orthomyxoviridae in wild and migratory birds in the Brazilian territory in a collaboration with the National Network for Virus Surveillance in Wild Animals, which carries out epidemiological surveillance of pathogens in wild animals in partnership with the Virus Network - MCTI ( Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation - Brazil). I am MSc in Veterinary Medicine at the Universidade Federal de Viçosa - UFV (2020) in the research line Biotechnology, Diagnosis and Control of Animal Diseases, where I participated in the COVID-19 diagnostic group of the population of Minas Gerais State, Brazil. I am a Veterinary Doctor, at the Universidade Federal de Pelotas - UFPel (2018). During my undergraduate studies I had a scientific initiation scholarship (PBIP-UFPel and FAPERGS) at the Laboratory of Virology and Animal Immunology (Labvir) (from 2015 to 2018). I have experience in the field of Infectious Diseases, with emphasis on Animal Virology, working on research projects related to diagnosis and genetic studies of viruses affecting domestic animals, evaluation of antiviral compounds and virus association as possible causes of disease through molecular biology, bioinformatics, and classical virology techniques.
