Biography

Dr Payam Khazaeinejad is a Senior Lecturer in Solid Mechanics at Kingston University London. Payam obtained his PhD in Engineering from The University of Edinburgh. He is a Chartered Engineer, Chartered Scientist, Senior Fellow of Higher Education Academy (Advance HE), Senior Member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the Institute of Physics (IOP). Payam's research expertise and interests lie within the broad area of computational solid and structural mechanics, with special interest in using biological paradigms to model and design novel materials and mechanical systems at different length scales with unique properties, while maintaining interest in failure mechanisms of structures subjected to various thermomechanical actions.
