Biography

Associate professor at the Department of Animal Science, University of Lleida (UdL) and Adjunt Senior Lecturer at the Department of Clinical Sciences, SLU. I have a Ph.D. in Organic farming in comparison with other farm systems at the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC, Spain) and a postdoc in Organic Dairy farming at the Veterinary Epidemiology Unit at SLU. Former researcher at the Animal Welfare Department (IRTA, Spain). Research focus: animal health and welfare under a global changing world with a special interest in farm-systems (management) risk factors. , farm sustainability, organic farming and climatic change impact on livestock. Participant in Master programs in animal welfare, organic farming, farm sustainability and Antimicrobials and Epidemiology in Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Mexico and Sweden. Background on veterinary advisory to organic farms. Permanent member of the EU Expert Group on Organic Production (EGTOP) (from 2017). Secretary of EAAP Health and Welfare Commission (from 2022).
