Muhammad Yaqoub, also known as Yang Guo, is a distinguished postdoctoral research fellow at the Beijing Film Academy, specializing in film, drama, and television studies. His expertise spans a broad range of areas, including OTT platforms, Asian cinema (with a particular focus on Chinese cinema), Hollywood, Lollywood, Bollywood, and East Asian cinemas such as Japanese and Korean films. His interdisciplinary research contributions extend to media economy, language learning, political communication, television, social media, audience behavior, and celebrity studies. With a Ph.D. in Film, Drama, and TV Studies from Fujian Normal University, Yaqoub has established himself as a prominent scholar, exploring the intersections of cinema, culture, and communication through cross-cultural and comparative studies.
