Biography

Dr. Kallioras is a Researcher in the fields of Earthquake Engineering and Buildings Energy Performance. Over the past years, he has been working on full-scale laboratory testing and numerical modelling of existing structures to assess the risk associated with natural and human-triggered earthquakes. His current research interests include: i) developing appropriate retrofit solutions to improve the seismic safety and energy efficiency of reinforced concrete buildings, and ii) evaluating the effects of vertical accelerations on masonry structures in the vicinity of fault zones.
