Biography

- Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Navarra (1996) and Specialist in Hematology and Hemotherapy (2001).
- In 2008 I did a master's degree in Transfusion Medicine and Cell Therapy from the UAB
- Doctor of Medicine "cum laude" from the University of Navarra (February-2016).
- Master's degree in Hematopoietic Transplantation from the University of Valencia.
- University Expert in Organization and Management of Health Services from the UPNA.
- University Expert in Clinical Management from UNIR.
- I have developed my activity within the Hospital Complex of Navarra with different administrative responsibilities (including head of section and head of service between 2014 and 2017).
- My healthcare and research activity has been focused for 20 years on Hemotherapy, cell therapy, quality management systems and patient safety.
- Responsible for Hemovigilance of the Hospital Transfusion Service and secretary of the Hospital Transfusion Committee for more than 10 years.
- Responsible for the Quality Management System of the Hemotherapy Unit of the Hospital Complex of Navarra from 2010 to 2016. During this period I have been able to become extensively familiar with the ISO 9001 standards. Thanks to this experience, I currently advise other Services of the Navarre Universitary Hospital (HUN) that want to obtain this quality certification.
- I collaborate with the Navarrabiomed Hematology research group and have participated in several clinical trials in the field of hematopoietic neoplasms and in the emerging patient safety group (which is developing a safety project with the funding of a grant FIS).
- I maintain my post-doctoral teaching activity associated with the UPNA.
- Developed activity in the field of patient management and safety as a member of the Support Service for Clinical Management and Care Continuity of the Navarra Hospital Complex since December 2019. Part of the Safety Commission and the group of managers of the CHN SiNASP since 2013.
- Currently is Quality Manager on the Tissue and Blood Bank of Navarre (Banco de Sangre y Tejidos de Navarra) since november 2022
