Biography

Dr. Junyong You is a Senior Researcher with Norwegian Research Centre (NORCE). He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in computational mathematics, in 1998 and 2001, and the Ph.D. degree in electronics and information engineering, in 2007, both from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, China. He was a Scientist with Christian Michelsen Research, Bergen, Norway, from 2012 to 2018, a Research Scientist with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway, from 2009 to 2012, and a Senior Researcher with the Tampere University of Technology, Finland, from 2007 to 2009. He has served as an Editorial Board Member for two international journals, and has been serving as a TPC member for several international conferences and workshops. His research interests include artificial intelligence, data analysis and computer vision for variant industrial applications, semantic multimedia content analysis, visual attention mechanism and modeling, and multimedia quality of experience management. Dr. You is a Senior Member of IEEE. He is the author or co-author of more than 60 articles for scientific books, journals, and conferences. He has been in charge of and involved in many scientific projects attracting over 50M NOK funding from EU, the Research Council of Norway, industrial partners and other funding parties.
