Biography
Al Mazedur Rahman acquired his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology in 2017 and a Master of Science in Manufacturing Engineering from the department of Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2020. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree in the Industrial and Systems Engineering department at Texas A&M University, College Station.
He worked as a research assistant at the Advanced Machining Lab under Dr. Anil K. Srivastava. His research interests are focused on advanced machining and additive manufacturing. During his Master’s, he was awarded the Presidential Graduate Research Assistantship award for all two years. He has published one article in a prestigious journal, co-authored one journal article, and participated in a few poster presentations. To pursue his Ph.D. degree, he has joined Texas A&M University, College Station, in the Industrial and Systems Engineering department and is currently working as a graduate research assistant under Dr. Zhijian Pei and Dr. Chukwuzubelu Ufodike. In his Ph.D. work, he has already published 3 first-author articles, co-authored 7 articles (10 published and 1 submitted), and presented at the CIRP conference 2022. He has also presented his submitted work at the NMRAC conference in June 2023 and 2021. He is also working as a reviewer for two prestigious journals.
