Biography

Kayla Beaudin is a master’s student at Concordia University in Montréal, Québec. Kayla received her B.A. Psychology from Carleton University in 2020 and expects to complete her M.A. Psychology by summer 2022. Kayla has experience as a research assistant in the Child Language and Literacy Research Lab (Carleton University) and in the Cognitive and Language Development Lab (Concordia University). Prior to her beginning her master’s degree, Kayla was employed at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada as a Policy and Program Officer in the Settlement Network. Kayla’s current research interests include bilingualism and language acquisition. Kayla’s research is funded by the Sciences and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, the Centre for Research on Brain, Language and Music, and Concordia University’s Faculty of Arts and Science.
