Biography

Dr. mech. eng. Tamara Bajc is associate professor at Thermal science engineering department, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade. The main fields of her research and scientific interests are thermal comfort, efficient energy use in buildings, energy performance certification, CFD analysis, passive house, HVAC systems, renewable energy sources etc. Tamara has 13 years of professional experience both in the process of HVAC projects design and in research and education. She participated at more than 20 HVAC design project, three international projects and 5 national research projects. Currently she is representative of the Republic of Serbia in the Management committee of the COST Action MODENERLANDS CA20109 ''Modular Energy Islands for Sustainability and Resilience''. She is elected as ASHRAE Danube Chapter president for society year 2023-2024, ASHRAE Student Branch Advisor for University of Belgrade and ASHRAE Danube chapter students’ activities chair and she is the member of ASHRAE technical committees: T-TAC-TC04.10 Indoor environmental modeling and T-TAC-TC07.01 Integrated building design. Tamara has two engineering licenses from the Serbian Chamber of Engineers for HVAC installation design and energy performance certification and a license for energy manager for buildings. She is the author or coauthor of more than 40 scientific papers and one book. Further, she is reviewer for 15 international journals from SCI list, for which she reviewed papers more than 100 times. She won third award in ASHRAE Student design competition 2012 in the “Integrated sustainable building design” category, Award by University of Belgrade Foundation of Djoka Vlajkovic for the best scientific paper of young scientists at the University of Belgrade in the field of technical and technological sciences for 2023. year and Award by University of Belgrade Foundation of Veselin Lucic for the best scientific paper at the University of Belgrade in 2024. Tamara speaks fluent English, fluent Slovenian and basic German and Russian.
