Biography
I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate working with Rich Kobe in the Department of Forestry at Michigan State University. I currently co-lead a long-term study focused on monitoring temperate tree seedling recruitment and survival across environmental gradients in the Manistee National Forest (Northwest lower Michigan). I completed my doctorate in Biological Sciences with Sabrina Russo at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2023, where I studied effects of topography and microclimate on plant community structure in a refugial forest in North-Central Nebraska. I received my MS in Forest Resources from the University of Georgia in 2018, and my BS in Natural Resources and BA in Spanish from the University of Connecticut in 2015.
