Biography
Xin Yu is a associate professor major in geological engineering of the institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. She earned her Ph. D. and bachelor degrees major in mining engineering at the University of Science and Technology Beijing, Department of Civil and Resource Engineering. Her research interests are in the field of in fluid-rock interactions and fluid flow through pore space and fractures in the underground geomechanics work, such as CO2 sequestration, mining engineering, fault reactivation, particularly in using in situ x-ray microtomography, and combining this with acoustic monitoring the related fracture process.
