Biography
Ivica Stevanovic is an electrical engineer with over fifteen years of industrial and academic experience in the fields of radio propagation, spectrum engineering, computational and applied electromagnetics, scientific computing, semiconductor electronics, and wireless power transfer.
Dr Stevanovic represents Switzerland in international committees for spectrum engineering and standardization in wireless communications. He also serves in the European Electronic Communications Committee (ECC) as Vice Chair of the Working Group Spectrum Engineering, as Chairman of the ECC Project Team SE45, and he served as Acting Chair of the ECC Project Team STG. In ITU-R he serves as Chairman of Working Group 3K-1.
He is author of 20 journal and more than 50 refereed conference papers, and holds 2 patent applications. He has authored four software implementations of P-Series Recommendations that are published by ITU-R Study Group 3. He has mentored 24 MSc and PhD students in industry and academia and was a member in four doctoral dissertation committees.
He has been awarded an NSF fellowship presented by Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory and California Institute of Technology in 2000 and has been voted IEEE Senior Member for his R&D and educational achievements in 2012. Swiss Academy of Sciences elected him a member of the National Committee of URSI in 2018.
