Biography
I am Rahmat Mulyana, from Indonesia , a G20 country in South East Asia and the 4th largest population worldwide where the "God's island, Bali" is located. It is an honor to be invited and accepted as a Doctoral student at DSV (Department of Computer and Systems Science), Stockholm University, since Feb 2020. My research project is on IT Governance Influence on Digital Transformation. My PhD is co-funded by the MIT (Management and IT) Graduate Research School, a collaboration of 13 Swedish universities (BTH, GU, JIBS, KAU, LIU, LNU, LTH, LU, MDH, ORU, SU, UMU, UU).
My interest is to facilitate Business & IT Alignment and Digital Transformation. I have more than 22 years of experience regarding the international standard and good practice implementation on Digital Strategy, Enterprise IT Architecture, Governance, Risk Management, Audit, Cybersecurity, Business Continuity, and Project Management.
Previously, I was involved in Indonesia's IT regulation establishment and also in auditing / assessing the implementation maturity level, such as Central Bank Information System Regulation, Financial Services Authority Enterprise Architecture, E-Government Regulations, eg E-Gov Risk Management. Minister Decree on IT Governance and E-Government, IT Master Plan, IT Governance, and Information Security Policies of State-owned Enterprises.
Moreover, I have been involved in 115+ projects since 1999 with various clients from business, government, and academic entities. The companies are banking, insurance, social security, pawnshop, telecommunication, airport, seaport, EPC, plantation, forestry, energy. Likewise, the regulatory bodies for financial services, oil and gas industry. Also, other public service entities such as government bodies at the ministry level, province / region, municipality, and hospital.
Furthermore, I was pioneering and managing ComLabs IT Service Center in Bandung Institute of Technology in 1999-2007 and then co-founded and managed Transforma Consulting since 2008. I was invited to be a Professional Lecturer at Telkom University in 2010 and deliver public / guest lectures at various universities as professional association representatives and professional speakers at related events.
Subsequently, I have delivered 270+ education / sharing events ever since, including teaching courses in IT governance, data governance, IT service management, information security and risk management, enterprise architecture, and IS project management. I have supervised more than 75 bachelor theses as well.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Computer Engineering, Master of Information Systems, and MBA degrees from Bandung Institute of Technology . Currently, I hold some professional global certifications such as CISA (IS Audit and Assurance), CISM; ISO 27001 Lead Auditor; and CSX (Information and Cyber Security), CGEIT; COBIT; and ITIL (IT Governance and Management), CDPSE (Data Privacy), PMP (Project Management), and ISO 9001 Internal Auditor (Quality Management). Not to mention, I am currently also a globally accredited trainer for COBIT2019, CISA, CGEIT certification from APMG .
I am currently active as the Academic Advocate of ISACA Global and ISACA Student Group Advisor. I am also appointed as the Vice-Chairman of the Bandung Institute of Technology Alumni Association Swedish Commissariat and Supervisory Board Chairman of Ikatan Alumni SMAN3 Bandung.
Formerly, I was the President, Vice President, Relations Director of ISACA Indonesia , and the Board Advisor, General Secretary, and Branch Director of the PMI Indonesia . Likewise, I was the Government & Regulatory Advocacy SubCommittee of ISACA International for the Asia region and Indonesia National Standard (SNI-ISO) Working Group on IT Governance and Service Management. Also, I was the Chairman Committee of ISACA Indonesia GRACS 2018 and the Project Manager of PMI International ROWS (Research Working Session) 2015 for Asia Pacific.
