Biography

Dr. Xiang Yun obtained his PhD degree in Structural Engineering from Imperial College London in 2018. He then worked as a Research Associate in the Steel Structures Research Group at Imperial College London on the European research project STROBE (Stronger Steels in the Built Environment) prior to joining the University of Sheffield as a Lecturer in 2022. Xiang’s research focuses on the areas of constitutive modelling, structural testing, numerical modelling and design of metallic structures, including high-strength steel structures, aluminium alloy structures, stainless steel structures and wind turbine towers.
