Biography

Ph.D. Eng. Alfredo Suarez is graduated in Mechanical Engineering by Tecnun (University of Navarre) in 2006. He holds PhD degree in mechanical engineering by University of Basque Country UPV-EHU in 2019. He is working for Tecnalia as a researcher since 2007, in the Industrial Systems unit, and he has specialized in conventional and non-conventional manufacturing technologies, working mainly in turning and drilling processes, abrasive waterjet technology and additive manufacturing technologies where he is developing high deposition technology, known as WAAM (Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing). In 2010 he was promoted to project manager and nowadays he is the responsible of the technology related to Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing technology at Tecnalia. He has managed many projects at European ,regional and national level: ICEJET (ref.
