Biography

Jorge E. Pezoa received his B.Sc. and M.S. degrees in Electronics Engineering and
Electrical Engineering in 1999 and 2003, respectively, from the Universidad de Concepción, Concepción, Chile. He received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Mexico, NM, USA, in 2010. Dr. Pezoa is currently an Associate Professor with the Electrical Engineering Department, Universidad de Concepción, Concepción, Chile. He is a member of the Society of Photo-optical Instrumentation Engineers, the Optical Society of America, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and the Association for Computing Machinery. His areas of interest are distributed computing, pattern recognition,
statistical signal processing, network optimization, and hyperspectral
image and signal processing for industrial processes.
