Biography
Wadzani Dauda Palnam (Ph.D.) is a Faculty member at Federal University, Gashua, Nigeria, where he applies biological, bioinformatics techniques and microbial bioprocesses to actualise sustainable development goals and Agrarian revolution through quality teaching, research, and community development. He has won several scientific awards and grants from renowned academic bodies including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Regeneron, American Phytopathological Society (APS), American Society of Microbiology (ASM), Department of Biotechnology (DBT) India and The World Academy of Science (TWAS) Italy. He has published over 70 scientific journals and conference proceedings in international and local refereed journals. The breadth of his scholarly contributions to research is evident from his contributions, which cover topics relating to food security, CYPYOME analysis in agricultural and industrially important fungi. His research interest includes Plant Pathology, comparative genomic analysis, Bioinformatics, Molecular biology, and Agricultural Extension. He is a reviewer to many double-blind peer review journals. He is also a member of many scientific and professional bodies including the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB), International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB), International Society for Molecular Plant-Microbe Interactions (IS-MPMI), Society for Applied Microbiology (SfAM), American Phytopathological Society (APS), Nigerian Society of Plant Protection (NSPP) and the American Society for Microbiology (ASM). He has over the last ten years built strong working collaborations with reputable research groups in numerous and leading Universities across the globe.
