Biography
Mehmet Mesutoğlu was born on September 2, 1986, in Malatya. In 2010, he proudly graduated with a degree in Mining Engineering from Selçuk University in Konya. Building upon this foundation, he further advanced his academic achievements; completing his master's degree in 2013 and obtaining his doctoral degree in 2019. Between 2021 and 2022, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Spain.
Throughout his academic journey, he served as a research assistant at the Department of Mining Engineering of Selçuk University in Konya from 2011 to 2018. This role provided him with the opportunity to delve into the intricacies of mining engineering and contribute to significant research projects aimed at advancing the industry.
In 2018, he continued his role as a research assistant and doctoral candidate at the Department of Mining Engineering, Konya Technical University. This step signaled the continuation of his commitment to expanding the boundaries of mining engineering through comprehensive research and innovative solutions.
His professional interests have consistently revolved around the realms of rock mechanics, both in the context of underground and open-pit mining. Furthermore, his work delved into the captivating domain of numerical modeling in mining – a critical tool that has played a pivotal role in shaping modern mining practices.
