Biography

My main research interest is to identify and characterise novel traits in abiotic stress responses and plant growth (biomass production) using a combination of state of the art non-invasive HTP spectral imaging and semi-HTP high dimensional deep phenotyping techniques, as well as genetics and genomics approaches. I gained profound experience on developmental biology, genetics, genomics, molecular plant physiology and phenotyping, including different mutant screens, the set up of growth conditions for expression profiling experiments under various stress conditions and deep phenotyping of several crop species. I trained and (co-)supervised 7 bachelor-, 5 master- and 7 PhD students, 10 technicians and 4 post-docs.
