Biography

Antti Isosalo received his Master of Science degree in Information Engineering (Engineering Mathematics) from the University of Oulu, Oulu, Finland. He has also conducted supplementary studies in Mathematics and Physics and completed Pedagogical Studies for Subject Teachers (60 ECTS cr). Currently, he is pursuing towards the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Medicine (Medical Physics and Technology).
Formerly, Isosalo has been working with various pattern recognition and machine learning related research problems while with the Center for Machine Vision and Signal Analysis, University of Oulu, Oulu, Finland (2014-2019). In addition to the aforementioned research activities, he has been involved in study advising and study administration related duties in the Biomedical Engineering Int’l Master’s programme (2017-2019), University of Oulu, Oulu, Finland. Currently he is working as a Research Scientist at the Research Unit of Health Sciences and Technology (former Research Unit of Medical Imaging, Physics and Technology), University of Oulu, Oulu, Finland (2019-present). His most recent research interests lie in the area of deep learning and medical image analysis.
