Biography
Mintautas Gutauskas is Professor and Senior Researcher at the Institute of Philosophy, Vilnius University and Director of the Institute of Philosophy. Since defending his Ph.D. in 2002 on the notion of dialogue in philosophical hermeneutics, his research interests have included issues of language, dialogue, and intersubjectivity. His current research interests include the Anthropocene and anthropological difference, critique of anthropocentrism, liminal subjects, animality, eco-phenomenology, and philosophy of waste. Published monographs: Space of Dialogue: Phenomenological Approach (2010, in Lithuanian), Human and Animal. Anthropological Difference in Phenomenological Hermeneutical Philosophy (2021, in Lithuanian), Transformations of Nature: Modernity and the Anthropocene (2021, in Lithuanian, with D. Bacevičiūtė, V. Daraškevičiūtė, G. Cuozzo).
