Biography

Dr Jamie Roche is a lecture/researcher at the Institute of Technologie Sligo and a visiting researcher at Loughborough University London. Before taking up his post at IT Sligo, Jamie was a research fellow investigating data-driven decision making for autonomous multi-agent systems. Jamie has a PhD in Multimodal Machine Learning for Intelligent Mobility and an M.Sc. Mobile Internet from Loughborough University London. Before coming to London, Jamie worked as a Consulting Forensic Engineer for seven years with Denis Wood & Associates in Ireland. In 2008 Jamie graduated from Trinity College Dublin with an M.Sc. in Bioengineering. Previous to undertaking his Bioengineering degree, Jamie worked as a project engineer with Irish Rail, a Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Engineer with Help International (NGO) and a graduate Engineer at Schering Plough Pharmaceuticals. In 2002 Jamie graduated from Dublin City University with a B.Eng. in Mechatronics, and in 2000 Jamie was awarded a B.Tech. Process Instrumentation and Control Systems from Institute Technology Carlow.
